We are slowly making progress on Uwharrie Mountain Home...First we had to decide exactly where to locate the house.  Larry excavated the area to prep for digging the foundation, the concrete and laying the block. Later we poured a concrete floor in what would be the crawl space. Then came moving the house in line with the foundation, turning the dollys, then winching the house over the curtain wall. Amazingly enough, it lined up almost perfectly! We then had to lower the house onto the foundation after removing all the steel support structure. After that we had the septic system installed. The friend that did the foundation work came back and he and his wife finished up the block.  It all sounds so simple when I type it, but believe me it was a lot of hard work over a period of several years. Once again, many thanks go out to family and friends for all their help! We are truly blessed!  Here's a slideshow with what's been done over the last several years.
